On Monday March 26, 2007 Cox Communications, had its quarterly Diversity Dinner, the dinner was held at Copeland's at the Cobb Galleria. The speaker for the dinner was Dr. Cherry A. Collier, CEO of People Psychology Matters. Dr. Cherry is the author of Move Out Of Your Own Way and uses her PH.D in Social Psychology to empower numerous Fortune 500 companies and universities: including the Coca Cola Company, SunTrust, Sharp Electronics and Auburn University.

Cox Council Helps Set the Course for Diversity
Cox's Diversity Council is charged with championing and advocating diversity throughout our company. While diversity is not the job of the council alone, this group plays an important role in providing direction and counsel to management, including setting goals and metrics for measuring progress, securing resources to help achieve those goals, and providing diversity recommendations and tools to Cox operations companywide. This group of 15 employees is itself a diverse team, which is vital as it focuses on diversity and all of its myriad forms - including race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, job function, work experience, geographic location, backgrounds, and so many other facets of diversity.
