TRX, Inc. a global technology company based in Atlanta that processes travel transactions, announced the release of RESX v6.3, which includes a redesigned user interface offering travelers easier navigation and a simplified booking process.
RESX is a leading online booking tool allowing corporate travelers to create policy-compliant and on-budget travel reservations via a hosted Web interface. TRX continues to expand the features and functionality of RESX, while making it simpler for users to research and finalize reservations.
RESX v6.3 enables users to request air options by price or by schedule, all from the main page. The new interface provides live updates during the search process, displaying additional travel or policy information as search results appear on the screen. The latest version also supports a shopping cart on each screen detailing current reservation status while users continue to search and book. With RESX v6.3, users can now create a policy-compliant, round-trip air reservation with four clicks and in less than 90 seconds.
Shane Hammond, President, RESX Technologies said, "RESX v6.3 is the culmination of over a year of distributor and end user feedback. We invested in blind studies and competitive research, and listened intently to what our clients and partners were telling us. We anticipate a tremendous, positive impact on user adoption and satisfaction."
Additional features in RESX v6.3 include:
- Home page provides simultaneous search for air, car, and hotel options
- Air search results display in convenient matrix, allowing users to quickly narrow results down by airline or frequency of stops, or both
- Enhanced reservation information displays on all shopping screens, eliminating extra clicks for the user
- Airline and rental car logos display with company name, allowing for quicker identification of the desired selection
- Hotel locations post on interactive map; hotel descriptions include photograph
- Additional detail added to final itinerary, including rental car extra hour rates and daily fees
- New dynamic drop downs for Profile and Help sections allows users to quickly perform useful non-booking tasks
- Improved layout for RESX Administration section enables administrators to more easily navigate the robust setup and configuration options
RESX provides one-stop access to fragmented inventory, allowing one reservation, one itinerary, and one passenger name record (PNR) to include multiple travel segments regardless of inventory source.
TRX continues to add RESX distributors to its growing client base. Leveraging Web 2.0, RESX v6.3 promises increased efficiencies and flexibility for end users, agency distributors, and administrators alike.
