Synovus, the Columbus, Georgia-based diversified financial services company, recently announced the appointment of Liliana McDaniel to the position of Chief Accounting Officer.

McDaniel began her career with Synovus in 1998 as the Financial Reporting Manager/Vice President and most recently served as Financial Reporting Director/Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Synovus, McDaniel was a senior audit manager with KPMG LLP in Atlanta, Georgia.

McDaniel is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Girl Scout Finance Advisory Committee.
