TSYS recently announced that it has renewed its multi-year relationship with Ireland's largest bank, Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. Through the agreement TSYS will provide transaction processing services to the bank's consumer, retail and commercial credit card accounts. Allied Irish Bank was one of TSYS' first European clients.
TSYS' innovative payment technology is also being used in the U.K. A new credit card launched by Bank of Ireland allows customers to treat certain transactions as installment loans. This program completed a successful pilot stage with 100 branches in September, and will be launched nationally in November to more than 6,000 branches.
Lastly, in a new long term contract, TSYS will provide processing and support services to TD Bank Financial Group.
TD Bank Financial Group is the parent of The Toronto-Dominion Bank and its subsidiaries. It is one of Canada's leading card-issuing financial institutions, serving more than 14 million customers.
In the new contract, TSYS will support three of Canada's top five bankcard issuers in four of TSYS' key businesses globally.
