It is August in Atlanta: It is hot. It seems to be raining every day. It is indeed the dog days of summer.
Perhaps there are empty desks around you from people going on vacation. Hopefully you have taken some vacation, too. For everyone on vacation, there are probably 10 others who wish they were as well!
While TPAtlanta is not on vacation this month, this issue will take a slight departure from the themes of the past issues where we were tracking the history and the development of the transaction processing industry. Instead, in the spirit of the hazy, lazy days of summer, we will play a little game with an idea we borrowed from those Capital One television commercials.
